Raw materials for the building materials industry pose specific demands on how we are able to combine innovation to achieve necessary mineral properties with respect to consistency, colour and reactivity. Keywords such as sustainability and natural purity of the products in applications such as (clay) plasters and technical properties such as the binding capacity of raw materials, play a crucial role when deciding which raw material supplier to go for.

Our calcined clays, which come from regional clay deposits, can replace some of the CO₂-intensive Portland cement in plaster and adhesive mortars as well as in concrete mixtures.
A range of product variants is available: from very light metakaolin (Puzzo-White) to illite-containing grey and colored metaclays (Puzzo-Grey and Puzzo-Red).
In collaboration with several research institutes, our calcined clays have also been successfully used in 3D concrete printing and shotcrete.
The first concrete structure in Germany with a high proportion of calcined clay in the binder mixture will be realized as part of the 2027 State Garden Show in Neustadt an der Weinstraße.
