Goerg & Schneider supports trainees and employees who want to further and improve their language skills. In addition to in-house English lessons, some employees have been able to enhance their English skills by spending time abroad and thus get to know the culture and the country.
“I had the opportunity to complete a 3 week internship at Valentine Clay where I gained hands-on experience in the production of porcelain and at the same time improved my English skills. I worked there in a great team and was able to take a look at the production of Valentine.
Among other things I visited “World of Wedgwood” which is one of the World’s largest Ceramics Museums. There I could also see many different techniques employed for the production of ceramic tableware.
I truly learned a lot about the history of ceramics and the development of ceramic bodies.
I am very grateful that I was given this chance.”
"I was able to travel to a foreign country with the support resp. financing of the ERASMUS funding programme. Within the scope of an internship in Birmingham for several weeks, I used the chance to get to know a different working environment, the culture and the English language. During my stay abroad, I lived in a host family and I worked in a Charity Shop.
In the initially new environment of the host country I became more independent and gained intercultural competence. Back at work I can benefit from everything I learnt abroad when I deal with customers from different countries."
