25 years of Mittelhessische Tonbergbau GmbH & Co. KG (MTG)

In 1998, the companies Stephan Schmidt KG (SSKG), Dornburg and Goerg & Schneider GmbH u. Co. KG (G&S) decided to found a joint company, Mittelhessische Tonbergbau GmbH & Co. KG with headquarters in Giessen.

The object of the company - in which SSKG holds 60% and G&S 40% of the shares - was the acquisition of the clay deposits from the bankruptcy estate of Gail Gießen.

In addition to the deposits, a spray granulate plant, numerous clay storage halls and an office were also acquired.

At the shareholders' meeting, Managing Director Günther Schmidt recalled the company's difficult beginnings.

Now the shareholders look back on the good co-operation, which will be continued by the next generation.
