The members of the newly elected local council Boden were guests on the European Minerals day at Goerg & Schneider.
The clay storage halls, the production facilities for the ceramic bodies and the kilns for chamotte could be visited during a tour.
The importance of the Westerwälder clay for the fabrication of objects, which are indispensable to daily life, was explained to the participants by means of the “clay case”. There would be no tiles, roof tiles, tableware and sanitary objects like toilets or washbasins without clay.
Finally, the management invited all participants to a snack in the new administration building.
The local mayor, Peter Stamm, handed over a beautiful ceramic plate as house warming gift.
